Turns out when Cironi went down, putting in his replacement, Deyo, was not the way to go. The lad is not ready. It was embarrassing to watch.
ReplyDeleteWhat should have happened is putting DJ Young at LT, moving Moss to RT, and bringing in Stipek to replace Nitchman who slides over to fill Moss's vacancy.
Yeah, musical chairs. But at least it gives us a chance. Deyo, who wasn't even on the radar screen during the early part of the season, may have played hard in practice to move up. But game conditions are different.
To see him either blatantly hold or let the DE go by unhampered was disgusting.
I have my doubts about Coach Roushar's ability to evaluate and develop talent. To put Deyo in when he was so obviously physically unready shows me Roushar is a coach who lacks insight.
