On the heels of the Big Green's ear-splitting, vastly enjoyable thumping of the Ann Arbor Yellow Bellies, the recruits start running to MD. That makes 14 QUALITY recruits so far, Spartan fans.
Keith Mumphery, a 6-1, 197-lb wideout from Vienna, Georgia, bolted SEC country for Michigan State. According to Scout.com (bio), Mumphery runs a 4.5-40, and caught 49 passes for 972 yards last year. And, he wants to put his 3.9 GPA to use in medical engineering. He chose MSU over Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, and Big Twelve schools Nebraska and Oklahoma State.
Kurtis Drummond, a tall defensive back at 6-3, 195-lbs, chose Michigan State over Michigan, Indiana, Purdue, BC, Cincy, Pitt, and Syracuse. He can run a 4.6-40 yard dash and had 49 tackles and 3 INTs last year. Academically, he has a 3.0 GPA and 21 ACT. Read his bio.
